Gas Safe Register launches

Just a quick note to make all readers aware that as of today - April 1st 2009 -CORGI has been replaced by the Gas Safe Register as the certification body for all heating engineers working on gas systems in the UK.

You'll likely see references to CORGI for many years to come as they are trying to stay in the picture with an independant certification service. but please be aware that from today anyone working on your gas supply must be Gas Safe Registered. If a tradesman can show you a CORGI card but not the Gas Safe equivalent they are not legally allowed to work on your system.
